Jeremy Jacob is a Member of SAFEagent
Jeremy Jacob Letting Specialists are proud to announce that we are now members of SAFEagent. By becoming a member of SAFEagent, we have extended our credentials and added an additional peace of mind that your money will be protected. We at Jeremy Jacob know how important tenant and landlord trust is and we want to make sure our clients and customers have confidence in us to protect their money. By adding SAFEagent to our repertoire of membership affiliations/qualifications, we have taken the extra step to assure our landlords and tenants that they are safe with us.
The SAFEagent badge allows us to identify to landlords and tenants that we are regulated by NALS (National Approved Letting Scheme) and ARLA propertymark (Association of Residential Letting Agents) and show that we are a part of a CMP (Client Money Protection) scheme. Further to this, we are also a member of The Property Ombudsman and the TDSL (Tenancy Deposits Solutions Ltd, i.e Mydeposits).
What does the SAFEagent logo mean?
Any lettings and management firm displaying the SAFEagent logo is part of a recognised industry Client Money Protection (CMP) Scheme and a member of a regulatory organisation.
What is a CMP scheme?
A CMP scheme is a means by which tenants and landlords can seek recovery of their funds when misappropriation or fraud by an agent has taken place. If a lettings and management firm is part of a CMP scheme consumers are protected.
In addition to the peace of mind being a member of the SAFEagent, it also provides many benefits such as any lettings firm registered as a SAFEagent operates a designated client account to hold landlords and tenants money completely separately from the operating funds of the firm, the firm’s accounting practices are independently monitored on an annual basis and the firm will be part of a CMP scheme operated by an industry body or organization entirely separate to the firm.
